Thank you for your interest in employment with Clay Tree.  Clay Tree hires casual Community Support Workers on an as-needed basis throughout the year.

Job Summary

To support individuals in a variety of settings: personal, social, physical, recreation, and educational.  To perform all duties in a safe, efficient, and respectful manner that promotes choice, independence, inclusion, and allows participants to pursue their goals.

Qualifications

  • Community Support Worker Certificate or equivalent post-secondary education and related experience
  • Experience in supporting people with intellectual and physical disabilities in a community setting
  • Current first aid and CPR
  • Valid BC driver's license (Class 4 in some circumstances)
  • Ability to relate effectively to persons with intellectual and physical disabilities
  • Ability to effectively support people who may exhibit challenging behaviours
  • Ability to work as an effective team member
  • Ability to develop, write, and follow through with personalized program plans
  • Ability and willingness to try new activities that may prove challenging
