The Hope Council is made up of participants as a place for them to have their voices heard and advocate on behalf of themselves.  The Council meets weekly to discuss Clay Tree news and business.

One aspect of Hope Council is to make sure everyone at Clay Tree feels special and appreciated. Nobody’s birthdays or special occasions are forgotten, everyone gets a card from council members.

Another responsibility of Hope Council is to award participants pins as a way to acknowledge the years a participant has been apart of Clay Tree.

Apart from Old and New Business they also have other segments to the weekly meetings one being Clay Tree News where the council members are the first to hear the exciting developments within our society. As well as the special interest presentations, these have included information from Elections BC, where the participants learned how to vote.  Hope Council held a mock election with an actual voting booth to practice these new skills.

All the work that the Hope Council does is sure appreciated around Clay Tree.
