Concepts is an active and energized program with a strong focus on diversity, flexibility, creativity and are highly motivated in setting and achieving goals.

Some of the regularly scheduled activities include: music, movies, computer courses with Nanaimo Disability Resource Centre, bowling with Kiwanis Assisted Living, group games and social event planning.

A few of the creative activities include, but are by no means limited to, painting, drawing, cooking, hot lunches, baking, karaoke, dancing and outings. New experiences are always being explored based on the preferences of the participants. Concepts hosts “Weird Science” and “Wacky Wednesdays”.

Concepts not only supports each other in achieving personal and group goals, they also look for opportunities to support the community through volunteerism.

Fundraising ideas are underway to generate funds for new computers for a computer lab where participants will learn the basic knowledge of setting up an email account and surfing the web for educational purposes.
